Mr. Cardella has been in the bingo industry since 1982. He started as the owner of the largest bingo hall in Western Pennsylvania. His was the first bingo hall to use electronics in the state of Pennsylvania and understands the need for packaging so that the bingo games make most of the profit.
In 1995, Mr. Cardella started a local electronic bingo distributorship in northwest Pennsylvania which he still owns and operates today.
"Electronics are a double edged sword," says Cardella, "On one side they increase the average spend per player. On the other side, if you put too many cards in the hand set, you will chase away your non electronics players and the bingo games will lose money."
Cardella continues, "Also when placing electronics in a bingo game, the split of the profits has to be weighted heavily on the side of the bingo game. Too often I see manufacturers or local distributors place electronics in a hall with packages and profits significantly benefiting only their interests. At EGS we strive to make sure that we make only a small portion of the profits, assist the distributor to make their fair share, but leave the bulk of the profits to the bingo games themselves." |
